2022 getting old and tired 2022 is dead

2022, sterbewohl!

Januar 2023. (Beerdigungen sind immer später als der Tod.)

2022, die well! In the last days of 2022, a studio show provided palliative care for a terminally ill year. It‘s said that life flashes before your eyes at the very last moment. Similarly, the show opened the flootgates to erratic image production. Following the logic of a dozy dream, it merged my work‘s subjects of the last months with anything that came across during the last days of the year.

Over the course of three weeks, an imagery grew across walls, ceiling and floor like an Advent calender of death: At the finissage, all lights were switched off except for one spotlight on the last visitor. Together with it, 2022 faded away on the evening of January 15, 2023. (Funerals come always after death.)
